✍️ Dr. Lokman Khan
I can lose hours,
just me and a page—
no ticking clock,
no need to measure time.
Words come,
and I follow them
like rivers to the sea.
I walk
where the leaves whisper secrets,
where the lake holds its breath
between ripples,
where the pier leads to nowhere
but still feels like home.
Then—
a voice I know,
a laugh I love.
Suddenly,
the world gets warmer.
I light up,
just by being near
those who know my name.
That’s me.
A mix of silence and sound,
of solitude and love.
I do what fills me up—
read, write, think,
sit in stillness,
dance with thoughts.
Is that selfish?
Maybe.
But I’m not selfish.
I just know
how to be alone
without being lonely.
Still,
sometimes I wonder—
in this world
spinning with noise and faces,
am I the only one
who feels
both full and empty
at once?
Or are you
a little like me, too?
