By Dr. Lokman Khan
For anyone familiar with Iran’s history, one truth stands tall: Iran does not bow. From the ancient Persian empires to modern geopolitics, this nation has refused submission—politically, militarily, and morally.
At a time when the Muslim world’s historical legacy speaks of glory and resistance, today’s Arab monarchies—Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar—have chosen cowardly silence. And that silence echoes loudest in Gaza.
The Gaza Genocide and Deafening Arab Silence
Over the past two years, more than 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, 70% of them women and children. Bombs fall on schools, hospitals, refugee camps. Starving children line up for scraps of flour while Israeli airstrikes rain death upon them.
Yet the Arab rulers remain mute. Not a word of condemnation. Not a finger lifted in protest.
But the silence breaks—not for Gaza—but when Iran strikes back.
Selective Outrage: When Iran Struck Back
The moment Iran launched a missile attack on U.S. airbases in response to aggression, Arab monarchies rushed to condemn Iran, issuing coordinated statements about “regional stability.” But just a day before, when the U.S. bombed Iranian nuclear research facilities, those same monarchs were silent.
Why this selective morality? Why does the loss of Arab dignity not spark outrage, while Iran’s retaliation does?
Iran Stands Alone—but Stands Tall
In today’s Middle East, Iran is the only Muslim-majority nation actively resisting injustice. A few small nations like Syria, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and Yemen’s Houthis offer support—but the broader Arab world is absent.
Iran is not an impulsive or reckless actor. It’s a nation that calculates carefully, acts decisively. Western propaganda would have you believe that Iranian women are oppressed and uneducated. The truth is: Iranian women are pioneers in science, technology, and education, leading research in nuclear physics, aerospace, and medicine.
A Twelve-Day Standoff: Iran vs. Superpowers
In a historic 12-day confrontation with the United States and Israel, Iran endured. Their missile stockpiles remain intact. Their nuclear facilities, according to even American media, suffered minimal damage. Iran is expected to resume nuclear research within months.
So, what comes next?
A Future Prediction: Iran’s Silent Strategy
Here’s my prediction—one that may or may not come true. Iran will now pretend to play nice. It will sit at the negotiation table with Trump. It will agree to what Trump wants. The world will cheer. Pakistan might even nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, which he just might win.
And all the while, behind closed doors, Iran will build its bomb—likely with help from North Korea and under Russia’s watchful nod. A year from now, Iran might inform Israel via backchannel diplomacy: “We now possess as many bombs as you do.”
When asked by journalists, Iran will smile ambiguously. That smile will say everything—and nothing.
Conclusion: A Region at a Moral Crossroads
This is my guess. It may be right, or not. But one thing is clear: In a Middle East drowning in submission, Iran stands unbent. And history remembers those who stood.
