By Dr Lokman Khan

Why stop here? The journey’s just begun,
In the world’s vast canvas, under the sun.
I’ve yet to see your spectrum wide,
To witness beauty that you often hide.

Why should I halt, O Earth, my home,
When dreams I’ve cradled have scarcely roamed?
The seeds of hope I’ve sown with care,
Not yet in bloom, they gasp for air.

Why should I pause in this grand chase,
When injustice sits in power’s embrace?
I’ll not rest while the corrupt hold sway,
Their time will end; there’ll come a day.

I’ll stop when wrongs no longer thrive,
On your green lap, where dreams survive.
I’ll rest when I see, in the world’s vast space,
A home for all, a kinder place.

I’ll stop when the future’s bright and clear,
When the next generation need not fear.
Till then, O world, I’ll journey through,
For stopping now? That, I cannot do.
