I’m a Muslim.
I believe in peace.
Not the hashtag kind.
The real kind—
holding my anger in
when it’s easier to let it spill.
I believe in honesty.
Even when it costs.
Even when my voice shakes
like saying less
when lying would be easy.
I believe in people.
Yeah, even now.
even when
they look through me.
Violence?
No.
I’ve seen enough of that
on screens,
in words,
in silence.
I respect your faith.
Or no faith.
Your business.
Like your phone password—
not mine to guess.
Women?
They don’t need my permission.
Just respect.
Full stop.
I try to tell the truth.
Not perfectly.
But I try.
And I keep things private
means I don’t ask
what isn’t mine.
So if this doesn’t match
what you’ve been told about me—
that’s fine.
Your version about me
isn’t my responsibility.
This—
is me.
this is mine.
