Dr. Lokman Khan
I look across years
and see myself
older now,
sometimes weighed down
by habits
and quiet hours.
Then, a laughter—
young, bright
fills the air:
a sign of wonder,
a spark of hope.
In that moment,
the world
opens like morning light.
The closed doors
of my own thinking
shift, creak,
and let in a new breeze.
I remember:
once, I, too,
ran without caution,
dreaming grand dreams,
unafraid to reach
for something unknown.
How warm it feels
to see those eyes of youth,
to hold them close
as they remind me
that beginnings still exist,
that life is not locked
in old patterns
but ready to unfold
like a freshly turned page.
