A poem by Dr Lokman Khan
In the depths where shadows lie,
A bitter truth emerges, a mournful sigh,
Even in the darkest, coldest night,
Moments of beauty shine so bright.
In this cruel world,
Filled with grim realities,
We witness acts that break the heart apart,
Revealing the worst of humanity,
Yet, sometimes, hope breaks through.
But hold on tight through the gloom,
A glimmer shines, dispelling the endless ruin,
A fleeting glimpse of justice,
A touch of hope to calm our fears.
Even when the night feels endless
And all seems lost,
A spark ignites,
A guiding light leading us through the endless night.
Cherish those moments, rare and true,
When triumph breaks through,
For in the darkest lives we tread,
Hope and justice still persist.
