By Dr Lokman Khan
In ordinary days, with eyes unshielded,
We glimpse mere mortals, singular and plain,
Their hearts laid bare, emotions unsealed,
A canvas painted in monochrome refrain.
But crisis, oh crisis, a prism it becomes,
Splitting the soul into hues unforeseen,
Compassion blooms, a tender touch succumbs,
Love’s palette bright, where empathy convenes.
Yet shadows linger, cold-blooded and stark,
The heartless silhouette, devoid of grace,
And in this fractured spectrum, we embark,
To witness humanity’s kaleidoscope embrace.
