You’ll regret the day you walked away,
From the best thing in your life.
The love you had, the joy you missed,
In life’s swift stream, when it gently kissed.
You’ll regret the heart that loved you true,
The one that beat, just for you.
In your neglect, their worth did wane,
You’ll regret the loss, you’ll feel the pain.
You’ll regret the hours spent in vain,
On fruitless paths, in sorrow’s lane.
Mistakes made, not once but many times,
Unlearned lessons, you’ll pay the price.
You’ll regret the care you never gave,
To the soul that yearned to be brave.
In self-neglect, you lost your worth,
Forgot to cherish your own self.
