By Dr Lokman Khan, Bradford
In the gentle clasp of love, I let go,
For true affection does not demand a show.
To love is not to chain or to hold tight,
But to cherish freedom, in the heart’s light.
I love, not with a cage or a closed door,
But with an open sky, forevermore.
Nature’s wild beauty, I do not claim,
For love’s true essence, is not to tame.
I wander through the woods, the fields, the streams,
Where love is a whisper in the sunbeams.
I do not capture what is meant to roam,
For in nature’s arms, I find my home.
Love is not possession, it’s a bond,
A connection to which the soul is fond.
It’s in the letting go, we truly find,
That freedom and love are closely entwined.
